AERIAL YOGA HEADER

At Yoga Path Studio we practice VaihAyasa Aerial YogaVaihAyasa in Sanskrit means aerial, being or moving in the air. During the class the teacher will show the students the 7 Fundamental Wraps and principals of VaihAyasa. Aerial Yoga combines fun with grounding and alignment centered, through traditional and non-traditional Hatha Yoga Poses.

With Aerial Yoga you will elevate your traditional yoga practice with the assistance of a hammock. The fabric will assist you in creating a new perspective on the body alignment and movement. Aerial yoga will enhance your mat practice. Students will achieve traditional yoga postures while putting less pressure on hands, neck and shoulders. It will help increase body flexibility, decompresses the spine and neck, facilitates lymphatic detox, and rejuvenates the spirit.

No yoga experience needed to introductory classes.

Aerial Yoga Policies!

For your safety and consideration to others:

  • You should wear fitting clothing with no zippers or other decoration that might snag the silk hammocks. Loose clothing can ride up and get tangled in the hammocks

  • Shirts with long or at least a short sleeves should be worn for your comfort.

  • No jewelry or makeup, like lipsticks and eye shadows.

  • Please come to class showered and scent free (no perfume).

All clients must sign a waiver prior to attending class. Parents or legal guardians must sign a waiver for all clients under the age of 18.

To practice Aerial Yoga the minimum age requirement is 13 years old. (Parental presence is required for 13 and 14 year olds.)

Please arrive at least 15 minutes before class starts. Due to required hammock adjustments, late arrivals are disruptive to the flow of the class. Students that arrive late are not allowed to attend class.

Cancellation policy: Cancellation is required at least 24 hours before class start.

Aerial Classes and descriptions

Tuesday  6:00 pm Aerial Yoga & Restore. (60 min)

In this 60 minutes class we’ll explore yoga poses from the ground and floating poses to stretch the body, increase muscular strength and improve balance and coordination. Beginner inversions if they are requested. Class will end with a 10 minutes deep tranquility guided relaxation in savasana. Leave this class totally de-stressed and relaxed!

All levels are welcome, including those with no experience.

Thursday 7:15 pm  (60 min) - All Levels Aerial Yoga

This class offers more opportunities to go deeper into your Aerial Yoga Practice. This class offers new transitions, deeper core challenges poses, longer inversions and building more strength.  It is recommended to take 2 aerial foundation for this class. 

Sundays 11 am (60 min) - Aerial Yoga Foundation

This is an introductory class using elements of traditional yoga poses, incorporating the support of the aerial hammock. By combining playfulness and postural alignment, you will enhance your traditional yoga practice while receiving many benefits: build muscle and core strength; increase flexibility and joint mobility; decompress the neck and spine; stimulates the release of happy hormones (serotonin & dopamine). Class will end with 10 minutes cocooned Savasana. 

No experience required.   2 Foundation Classes $28

Aerial Yoga Private 

Groups for birthday, bachelorette, anniversaries or other special occasions $20 per person. Minimum of 5.
